Gollum Represents The Emotional Pain Body

Simon Paul Sutton

--

Gollum is a great example of the Pain Body that lays within us…

The inner wounded child wanting to be seen and heard. The deeper aspect of ourselves that also seeks love. As with Gollum the character in Lord Of The Rings; we can identify with it. At times we can even be fond of this darker part of ourselves. These trapped emotions within our bodies become toxic if not acknowledged with loving compassionate awareness.

E-motions are neither right or wrong good or bad. They are either expressed or suppressed. Suppressed emotions become toxic and cause us to feel depressed, resentful, diminished, unworthy, angry, fearful and a whole heap of other diminishing feelings. Where as expressed emotions can become power.

When we express what we are feeling inside, we allow the energy (e-motion = energy in motion) to move, to create, to express. Emotional release enables us to access our creative force and limitless potential.

We are energy alchemists

So whatever your feeling today; joy, fear, sadness, anger, exuberance, vitality, heavy hearted, delighted, excited, hopeless or amazed…. whatever is moving through you (which also changes moment to moment) ask how it moves, ask what it needs to express, allow it space to breathe, to move, to sound. It’s not personal. What we feel we heal. What we resist persists. When we have a more heightened state of emotional intelligence we can witness them and realise we are not them. We are not the names we have given to this energy moving within us and we do not have to judge it as right or wrong, good or bad. We can feel it. Feel it all and be with it all. Observe it. Transmute it. Allow it. Create with it. Allow it to fuel us. To move us.

Whatever you are feeling today; connect with it in a new way. Speak with it. Ask it what it needs. Move like water. Give it form. Shout it out if need be. Dance yourself to freedom and Flow with what is.

When we accept what is, what is becomes all we need.

Make peace with the Gollum inside and love all parts of yourself. The dark, the light, the accepted, the non accepted, the beautiful and the not so beautiful.

Here is Eckhart Tolles Definition of the Pain Body:
It is an accumulation of painful life experience that was not fully faced and accepted in the moment it arose. It leaves behind an energy form of emotional pain. It comes together with other energy forms from other instances, and so after some years you have a “painbody,” an energy entity consisting of old emotion.

If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment. Marcus Aurelius

On my events I always dive into the emotions and explore, educate and bring the light of acceptance to our emotions. When we harness our energy and transmute it with clear intention, then we are tapping into our innate sovereign creative force.
